Now – June 14, 2025 – Quarter Horse Racing – Experience the thrill of American Quarter Horse racing at Sam Houston Race Park, running from April 24 through June 14, 2025. This 25-day meet features live racing every Thursday at 4:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The season includes major stakes races such as the $150,000-added Sam Houston Futurity (G2) and the $100,000-added Sam Houston Derby (G3), culminating on closing day, June 14 . May 26, 2025 – Memorial Day Ceremony – Join the community in honoring our nation’s fallen heroes at the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the War Memorial Pavilion in Bear Creek Pioneers Park, located at 3535 War Memorial Street, Houston, TX 77084. Hosted by Harris County Precinct 4, this solemn event pays tribute to the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in service to our country.
