17th Annual Salute to Our Heroes: Honoring Service, Supporting Students Oct 19
The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) is proud to host the 17th Annual Salute to Our Heroes on Saturday, October 19 at the Hyatt Regency Houston West. This cherished tradition pays tribute to the brave men and women of the armed forces and first responders who protect our freedom and safety, while raising vital funds for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD students.
A Night of Inspiration and Giving
The evening will feature an inspirational keynote speaker, along with a delicious dinner, live entertainment, and both live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event fund scholarship endowments for graduating CFISD seniors, as well as innovative staff development programs that directly benefit the district. By investing in education, CFEF continues its mission of shaping Today’s Students – Tomorrow’s Future.
2025 Keynote Speaker: Joe Torrillo
This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Joe Torrillo, a retired FDNY Lieutenant and 9/11 survivor. Torrillo was among the first responders at the World Trade Center and was severely injured when the towers collapsed. After years of recovery, he transformed his story of survival, resilience, and courage into an inspiring message of hope and determination. His powerful words will remind guests of the bravery of first responders and the strength of the human spirit.
