Cypress Woods HS baseball team advances to regional quarterfinals
The Cypress Woods High School baseball team advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs to move on to the region quarterfinal round this week, while Cy-Fair High School concluded their season as area finalists.
Cypress Woods defeated Oak Ridge in a best-of-three series by the scores of 4-5, 12-1 and 4-2. The Wildcats advance to face Royse City in the Region II-6A Division II quarterfinals in a best-of-three series to be played at Lake Belton High School baseball stadium scheduled as follows:
· Game 1 – 7 p.m. on May 15
· Game 2 – 7 p.m. on May 16
· Game 3, if necessary – 1 p.m. on May 17
Tickets for games will be $5 each (adults and students) and sold online through Belton ISD.
Cy-Fair was defeated in a best-of-three series by Katy by the scores of 1-4 and 3-6. The Bobcats finished the season as area round finalists.
