Supporting America’s Heroes for Ten Years and Running at Bridgeland’s Annual Fun Run/Walk for Heroes

The tenth annual Fun Run/Walk for Heroes sponsored by The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. will take place on October 11, 2025, at 16902 Bridgeland Landing Drive in Cypress, near Lakeland Village Festival Park.
The event is a major fundraiser for The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc., bringing hundreds from the Cypress area for a day filled with fun family events, community engagement and the opportunity to be a hero for a hero. An organically grown community group that began in 2012, The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. works to develop a spirit of patriotism and provide support to Bridgeland veterans through numerous initiatives, social gatherings, giveaways and offering financial assistance to veterans in need.

Whether you are a trained distance runner, or are picking up the sport for the first time, Bridgeland’s Fun Run/Walk for Heroes offers several distance options to choose from, so the whole family can participate.
The event includes an 8:00 a.m. 10K run, 5K run/walk, and new this year, a 5K Flag Team run/walk, all of which take place around Josey Lake and Lakeland Village Park. A children’s 1K run takes place along Lake Bridgeland at 9:00 a.m. and is the only run open to strollers and wagons. The event features sponsor booths, entertainment, and activities for children for a fun-filled morning for families and friends to support community veterans.
The Flag Team Challenge consists of four members who start together, run together, and finish together as a symbolic reminder of the unwavering commitment of our military and the motto that no one gets left behind. Rules for the team can be found at runsignup.com.
During the registration process you can pay tribute to a United States of America Armed Forces Hero by entering the name, rank, and branch of service of the veteran or active service member you would like to honor. Signs will be created displaying the names along the race route.

Runners can pick up their registration packets at Festival Park Pavilion, across from Lakeland Activity Center located at 16902 Bridgeland Landing Drive, on Friday, October 10, from noon to 7 p.m. and on race day, Saturday, October 11, beginning at 7 a.m. Parking is permitted along Bridgeland Landing Drive or in the back of the Activity Center parking lot. We request that everyone respect our community and its residents as parking is not permitted on neighborhood streets.
