Celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day and Labor Day Weekend at Margaritaville Lake Resort While Supporting Local Music Education
Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe | Houston is inviting guests to celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day and Labor Day Weekend while giving back to the community through the brand’s annual Day of Service initiative.
Throughout August and September, including Jimmy Buffett Day on Friday, September 4, the resort is partnering with The Jazz Connection, a Montgomery County nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free jazz and music education to students throughout the North Houston area.
Margaritaville’s annual Day of Service supports Singing for Change, the nonprofit founded by Jimmy Buffett in 1995 to empower grassroots organizations that inspire positive social change, personal growth, and stronger communities. This year’s local partnership allows guests to directly support the next generation of musicians simply by enjoying a relaxing getaway.
Guests who book the resort’s “Keep the Party Going” package between August 3 and September 27 will receive:
- 20% off the best available room rate
- A $50 resort credit per night to enjoy dining, drinks, spa services, and activities
- Two commemorative Jimmy Buffett Day souvenir cups
For every night booked through the promotion, $5 will be donated to The Jazz Connection, helping provide music education opportunities for aspiring young performers across the region.
Labor Day Weekend festivities will feature live entertainment celebrating the music and spirit of Margaritaville, including performances by the Gary Kyle Band on Friday, September 4, from 7 to 10 p.m., and Bama Breeze Sounds on Saturday, September 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Visitors can also enjoy two limited-time specialty cocktails created in honor of Jimmy Buffett Day: the Sunshine State of Mind, featuring light rum, lemon vodka, strawberry purée, and lemonade, and the Caribbean Heat, a tropical tequila cocktail with triple sec, pineapple juice, fruit purée, and jalapeño syrup.
For those looking to spend the evening poolside, Jimmy Buffett Day Passes will be available on Friday, September 4, from 5 to 10 p.m. for $25, providing access to the resort’s 3.5-acre Jolly Mon Waterpark.
With college football kicking off over Labor Day Weekend, guests can also enjoy “Gamedays in Paradise,” where they can watch their favorite teams while relaxing at the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Pool with tropical cocktails and island-inspired entertainment.
Whether you’re planning a weekend escape, celebrating Jimmy Buffett’s legacy, or simply looking for a fun way to give back, every stay at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe | Houston helps support local music education while delivering the laid-back island lifestyle Buffett made famous.
