CFISD, Cy-Fair FCU extend stadium naming rights agreement through 2036
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and longtime community business partner Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union agreed on a renewal of their stadium naming rights agreement this summer, extending the partnership through June 2036.
The district’s initial stadium naming rights agreement with Cy-Fair FCU was established in 2016. Since that time, Cy-Fair FCU Stadium has become a familiar gathering place for the community. From athletic and fine arts competitions to graduation ceremonies and community events, the stadium welcomes more than 1 million visitors each year and has become a recognizable landmark throughout the region.
The extension of the agreement symbolizes a partnership rooted in seven decades of shared history, community investment, and a commitment to helping future generations thrive.
“Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is proud to extend our historic partnership with Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union through the renewal of our stadium naming rights agreement,” said Dr. Douglas Killian, CFISD superintendent of schools. “As our longest-standing business partner, Cy-Fair FCU continues to demonstrate unwavering dedication to our schools. We look forward to another decade of celebrating student achievement, athletic excellence, and community events at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.”
The new agreement coincides with Cy-Fair FCU’s 70th anniversary. The credit union was founded by 10 CFISD employees from a secretary’s desk drawer at Cy-Fair High School in 1956, and the business and district partnership have remained strong since.
The agreement expands Cy-Fair FCU’s visibility through additional engagement opportunities connected to other district events, staff activities and financial education.
