The A Taste of CyFair benefiting CyHope

The Taste of Cy-Fair board is gearing up for an unforgettable event on October 5th, 2024, as A Taste of Cy-Fair takes over the Bridgeland Village Center in Cypress, Texas. Offering both General and VIP admissions, this exciting event will showcase the best of Cy-Fair and Houston’s culinary scene, featuring dozens of restaurants.

Attendees will enjoy mouthwatering dishes from favorites like Texas Roadhouse, Chuy’s, Alicia’s Mexican Grille, Rock’n Roll Sushi, For Heaven’s Cake, Dario’s Steakhouse & Seafood, Texas Mesquite, Alchemy Bake Lab, Creekwood Grill, Fajita Pete’s, R & R Crafthouse, Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse, Andy’s Kitchen, Cabo Bob’s, Backyard Grill, Galiana’s Tex Mex & Agave Bar, and many more. In addition to the incredible food, attendees can also sample a wide variety of wines along with dozens of craft beers. The event will also feature live music, with Randy Hulsey performing on the main stage and Nate Gordon setting the vibe in the VIP area.

In 2017, A Taste of Cy-Fair was launched to support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and it has since grown and evolved. “As we mark the sixth year of A Taste of Cy-Fair, it’s remarkable to see how this event has become a cornerstone of the Cy-Fair community,” said Robin Beattie, owner of Squeaky Wheel Branding & Marketing and one of the founding board members. “Each year, we’ve succeeded in raising even more for Cy-Hope and their incredible programs.”

In 2023, A Taste of Cy-Fair continued its impressive momentum from the previous year, raising an outstanding $75,880. Mark McShaffry, owner of Backyard Grill and Creekwood Grill and a founding board member, reflected on the event’s journey: “When we first launched this event in 2017, we could hardly have imagined it thriving as it does today. The enthusiasm continues to grow, making it a truly special occasion that unites thousands of local businesses, restaurateurs, volunteers, and residents from Cy-Fair and Houston. It’s a fantastic event with a noble cause at its heart.” Looking ahead to 2024, McShaffry highlighted the crucial support from sponsors Jake’s Finer Foods, Stellar Bank, and High Tech Machinery. “Their generous contributions are vital to the event’s success,” he added. “This year, as always, our goal is to exceed last year’s donation to Cy-Hope.”

The Cy-Hope mission is to make life better for all kids in Cy-Fair and the surrounding communities. They have nine programs to support their mission and consistently make a difference in the community. “Thank you to everyone who supports A Taste of Cy-Fair. The sixth annual A Taste of Cy-Fair will once again be organized and executed by dedicated volunteers. “We’re excited about this year’s event and are committed to making it our best one yet,” said Kristen Grider of Grupo Herrera Restaurants, a founding board member. “This event has truly become a cherished tradition in Cy-Fair, and it’s something everyone eagerly anticipates.”

A Taste of Cy-Fair provides both General Admission tickets and an exclusive VIP experience. The VIP package includes early entry, access to a private tent, premium food, wines, and beers, dedicated entertainment, special seating areas, and a goodie bag, among other perks. “We offer both General Admission and VIP tickets, and this year’s VIP experience will again feature exclusive benefits,” said Kristen Grider. “We encourage everyone to purchase their tickets in advance to ensure they don’t miss out on what promises to be a memorable event.” Organizers also caution that both General Admission and VIP tickets may sell out before the event.

A Taste of Cy-Fair, #ATasteOfCyfair, will take place rain or shine on October 5th, 2024, at the Bridgeland Lakeland Village Center in Cypress, Texas, 10615 Fry Road, Cypress, TX 77433. General admission is from 5 pm-8 pm, and VIP early admissions start is at 4 pm.
