Oct. 3, 2026 – Cy-Fest – LSC-CyFair’s annual free family-friendly community celebration, set from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, features a pumpkin patch, arts and crafts, children’s trains, inflatable, musical entertainment, STEM activities, food trucks and much more. Come meet firefighters and see fire trucks and equipment up close. Get information on the college’s Center for the Arts, Academy for Lifelong Learning, library services and other programs. Oct. 3, 2026 – Celebrate the grand opening of Del Webb Bridgeland, Bridgeland’s first 55+ active adult community, on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 21606 Denton Creek Drive in Cypress. This free, family-friendly event invites guests to explore beautifully furnished model homes, tour the new sales center, and discover the community’s exciting lifestyle and amenities. Enjoy live music, local tastings, specialty cocktails, interactive activities, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with local businesses. October 3, 2026 – Grandest Home Tour & Fall Festival at The Grand Prairie – Celebrate fall at The Grand Prairie in Hockley during the Grandest Home Tour & Fall Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day featuring live music, retro soda pop, delicious food and beverages, a pumpkin patch, and exciting activities for kids and families. Oct. 17, 2026 – Northwest Harris County Heart Walk – Join the community for the Northwest Harris County Heart Walk on Saturday, October 17, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at 11521 Compaq Center West Drive, Houston. Hosted by the American Heart Association, this inspiring event brings together families, friends, and local organizations to raise awareness and funding for lifesaving heart disease and stroke research, CPR education, and community health initiatives. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps create more survivors and healthier communities. October 17, 2026 – Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital to Host Cypress Mammo Day – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital invites women to prioritize their breast health during Cypress Mammo Day on Saturday, October 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Memorial Hermann Breast Care Center, located at 27700 Northwest Freeway, Suite 140. This special screening event offers women a convenient opportunity to complete their routine mammograms while receiving breast health information and a complimentary swag bag. Appointments are required, but a physician’s order is not necessary for routine screenings. Patients should bring a photo ID, insurance card, and information about their previous mammogram. October 23, 2026 – Hocus Pocus Pops – Join The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Friday, October 23 for the FREE SHOW “Hocus Pocus Pops” with the Houston Symphony. No Ticket Required! Oct. 1, 2026 – The Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce invites the community to its Economic Forum for an in-depth look at what’s happening in Economic Development, Transportation, and Healthcare at the state and local level. October 2, 2026 – 18th Annual Salute to Our Heroes – The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) invites the community to the 18th Annual Salute to Our Heroes on Saturday, October 2, at the Hyatt Regency Houston West. This cherished event pays tribute to the brave men and women of the armed forces and first responders while raising vital funds for CFISD student scholarships and innovative staff development programs. October 2, 2026 – Memorial Hermann In the Pink of Health luncheon – The 26th Anniversary of In the Pink of Health luncheon to be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott on Friday, October 2. Over the last 25 years, Memorial Hermann’s In the Pink of Health has invested over $9.7 million in the community to advance its mission. In the Pink of Health raises funds throughout the year, culminating with its annual luncheon. October 6, 2026 – College Night at the Berry Center – All secondary students and parents are invited to attend College Night at the Berry Center on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 6–8 p.m. This free event is a great opportunity to explore college options and connect with representatives no matter where you are in the search process. Attendees should park in Lots A & B and enter through Entrance 2. Free parking will be available, concessions will be open, and no registration is required. October & November 2026 – Lone Star College-CyFair Drama Performances – This fall, the LSC-CyFair Drama Department presents two entertaining productions. From October 8–10, enjoy The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) in the Main Stage Theatre, a hilarious, fast-paced comedy in which six actors tackle all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in just 97 minutes.
