CFISD names new principal for Truitt Middle School
Justin Nichols, associate principal at Cypress Park High School, was named the principal of Truitt Middle School on Dec. 17. Nichols replaces Dr. Plas Williams, who was recently named principal of Cypress Springs High School.
Nichols is in his 17th year in education, with all his experience being in CFISD. He began his career in 2008 as a classroom teacher at Cypress Woods High School, where he served until 2019. He also served as a coach at Cypress Woods, Spillane Middle School and Campbell Middle School.
Nichols was promoted to assistant principal at Cypress Park High School in 2019 and was later named to his current position in 2023.
Nichols earned his Bachelor of Arts and his Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University.
“I am incredibly honored and grateful to serve as the next principal of Truitt Middle School,” Nichols said. “I look forward to joining the staff in working with our students and serving the Truitt community. We will continue to build on the legacy of Truitt Middle School as we prepare the Timberwolves to be leaders of the future. Remember the Pack!”
