Memorial Hermann Cypress Goes Red for Heart Month and the No. 1 Killer of Women

By  |

February is American Heart Month and heart disease can happen to anyone. Visit here to learn how to lower your risk, recognize symptoms and protect your heart.

Did you know? National Wear Red Day was created to raise awareness of the risk of heart disease and stroke in women. Memorial Hermann is proud to support this national initiative and encourages you to take charge of your heart health. According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing one in three deaths each year.

Cardiovascular diseases do not affect all women alike, and the warning signs for women are different than for men.

Memorial Hermann Cypress staff don red attire on February 6, 2026 to bring awareness to heart disease, risk factors and what you can do to be heart healthy.
