CFISD safety exercise planned for June 3

By  |

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD’s emergency management department, in collaboration with the CFISD police department and local first responders, will host a full-scale safety exercise on June 3 at Rowe Middle School (7611 Westgreen Blvd.) and the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

The Response to Emergent Active Threat Crisis & Tactical Reunification (REACT-R) exercise will test CFISD’s and its public safety partners’ response to an active campus threat, focusing on emergency procedures, interagency coordination and student reunification.

Community members can expect a significant law enforcement presence at both Rowe Middle School and the Berry Center throughout the day on June 3. This presence is for a simulated exercise only; citizens are asked to remain off the property and do not need to alert authorities.
