Cy-Fair Educational Foundation Announces 5th Annual Sporting Clay Tournament Benefiting CFISD Students
The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) will host its fifth annual Sporting Clay Tournament on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Westside Sporting Grounds, a premier sporting clay club in Katy, Texas. The event is underwritten by Memorial Hermann Cypress, a CFEF Foundation Partner since 2016.
This year, CFEF is focused on growing the tournament by expanding from two courses to three courses at Westside Sporting Grounds, increasing participation from 60 teams to as many as 90 teams. Each four-person team will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors, as well as Men’s and Women’s High Overall (HOA) awards.
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with player registration and breakfast provided by The Backyard Grill. Following a mandatory safety briefing at 9:45 a.m., the tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m. After shooting concludes, participants will enjoy lunch provided by Creekwood Grill before the awards presentation.
For 56 years, CFEF has helped Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD) graduating seniors achieve their higher education goals by awarding more than $14 million in scholarships. Since 1998, the Foundation has also invested more than $4 million in staff development programs that enhance educational opportunities throughout the district.
The Sporting Clay Tournament provides businesses and community members with another meaningful way to invest in the future of CFISD students while helping raise scholarship funds for deserving seniors.
