Three trustees sworn in; Board elects new officers

Three members of the CFISD Board of Trustees who were elected during the Nov. 4 general election were sworn into office during a Board work session on Dec. 11:

  • Lesley Guilmart, a newly elected trustee, was sworn into her first term for Position 5
  • Dr. Cleveland O. Lane Jr., a newly elected trustee, was sworn into his first term for Position 6
  • Kendra Camarena, a newly elected trustee, was sworn into her first term for Position 7

Board Secretary Holly Reichert administered the oath of office to Guilmart, Lane and Camarena. Following the oath, the Board reorganized by electing a president, vice president and secretary in accordance with Board Policy BDAA (Local).

Trustees voted for the following Board officers: Julie Hinaman was elected as Board president; Dr. Cleveland O. Lane Jr. was elected as Board vice president; and Lesley Guilmart was elected as Board secretary.
