Houston Methodist Cancer Care Team Brings Smiles This Halloween with “Cactus Crew” Costumes

By  |

This Halloween, the team at Houston Methodist’s Neal Cancer Center at Willowbrook traded in their scrubs for cactus costumes spreading smiles, comfort, and encouragement to patients undergoing treatment. The staff came together dressed as cheerful cacti to remind patients that they are supported through every moment, even the “prickly times.”

With creativity and compassion on full display, the team showed that healing extends beyond medicine. Sometimes a bit of humor, warmth, and fun can be the best dose of encouragement. Their festive spirit and message of hope reflect Houston Methodist’s commitment to caring for the whole person, not just treating the diagnosis.

Houston Methodist offers comprehensive cancer care at eight locations across the Greater Houston area, providing advanced treatment, supportive services, and expert teams dedicated to walking alongside patients throughout their journey, from diagnosis through recovery.
