Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital donates over 400 backpacks to Cypress Assistance Ministries
As students across the Cypress area prepare to head back to the classroom, Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital is helping ensure local children have the supplies they need for a successful school year.
This year, Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital’s campus staff, medical providers, and affiliated physicians came together to collect more than 425 backpacks for Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM), demonstrating the hospital’s continued commitment to serving the community beyond healthcare. Many employees also volunteered alongside their families to help prepare the backpacks before they were distributed to local students.
The backpack drive is part of Memorial Hermann’s ongoing efforts to support organizations that make a meaningful difference for families throughout the Cypress community.
“We believe caring for our community extends beyond the walls of our hospitals,” said Jerry Ashworth, Senior Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Katy and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospitals. “Investing in children and supporting families through strong community partnerships is one way we help build a healthier, stronger future for everyone. We are honored to stand alongside you in serving our community and wish all students, teachers and families a successful school year ahead.”
Through partnerships with organizations like Cypress Assistance Ministries, Memorial Hermann Cypress continues to invest in the health and well-being of the community by supporting local families and helping students begin the school year equipped for success.
