Cypress Springs HS girls’ basketball advances to Region II-6A final
The Cypress Springs High School girls’ basketball team advanced past the region semifinal round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and advanced to the Region II-6A final, while Cypress Creek, Cypress Lakes, Jersey Village and Langham Creek high schools concluded their seasons.
Cypress Springs defeated DeSoto, 54-41. The Panthers advance to play Lancaster at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 at Academy High School (850 N. Highway 95).
Tickets for Cypress Springs will be $8.75 each for adults and $6.75 each for students. Tickets will be sold online.
Cypress Creek was defeated by Summer Creek, 52-32. The Cougars finished the season as region semifinalists.
Cypress Lakes was defeated by Cedar Hill, 54-43. The Spartans finished the season as region semifinalists.
Jersey Village was defeated by Pearland Dawson, 63-26. The Falcons finished the season as region semifinalists.
Langham Creek was defeated by Lancaster, 50-35. The Lobos finished the season as region semifinalists.
