Join in Art Cars, Zoofari, Magic, cool prizes and more Summer fun at LSC-CyFair
It’s time to mark your calendars for family fun all summer long at Lone Star College-CyFair Library’s Summer Reading Program with a theme of “Color Our World”.
LSC-CyFair’s annual summer program, held June 2 through Aug. 2, is open to all ages. There are opportunities to log books read and earn cool prizes as well as attend story times, book clubs, games, crafts, movies, special Wednesday events and more. Sign up at one of LSC-CyFair’s library reference desks or via the Beanstack app.
Kicking off the Wednesday afternoon events, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be the new “Art Cars” program June 4. First enjoy seeing a selection of Art Cars from the Houston Art Car Parade, then come indoors to cool off and make a car craft.
Additional new programs include Texas Snakes June 25, NASA: Life on the International Space Station July 2 and Wild Things Zoofari July 23.
Wednesday program returning favorites include Books Alive with their production of “Three Nasty Gnarlies” June 11 and Magician John O’Bryant July 16.
Free tickets for the Wednesday programs are available in the library at the Kids Corner reference desk 30 minutes prior to each session. To view these and all the programs and events at a glance full schedule, go to cflib.info/events.
