District 16-6A baseball players earn 2026 all-district honors

District 16-6A baseball coaches recently released the 2026 16-6A All-District Baseball Team after Cypress Woods, Cypress Ranch, Bridgeland and Langham Creek high schools all concluded their seasons in the first round of playoffs.

Cypress Woods secured a clean sweep of the district superlatives after a 29-4 campaign and an undefeated district title. Pitcher/shortstop Ross Sullivan was the unanimous District MVP after recording a 1.33 ERA in 68.1 innings pitched, while also hitting .386 from the batter’s box. Freshman Caleb Kahoalii was the unanimous District 16-6A Pitcher of the Year, while freshman third baseman/pitcher Dylan Mercado earned the district’s Newcomer of the Year award.

In the dugout, Cypress Woods head coach Phillip Schwarz brought home Coach of the Year honors after leading the Wildcats to their first district title in three years.

In all, 33 CFISD athletes earned first or second team all-district honors or a district superlative. The full list of athletes recognized is below.
