Cy-Fair, Langham Creek softball teams earn bi-district postseason victories
The Cy-Fair High School and Langham Creek High School softball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move forward to the area round this week.
Cy-Fair defeated Houston Lamar, 10-0. The Bobcats advance to face Katy in a best-of-three series:
· Game 1 – 6 p.m. on May 1 at Katy High School (6331 Highway Blvd.)
· Game 2 – 6 p.m. on May 2 at Cy-Fair High School (22602 Northwest Freeway)
· Game 3, if necessary – 10 a.m. on May 2 at Cypress Ranch High School (10700 Fry Road)

Langham Creek defeated Tomball Memorial in a best-of-three series by the scores of 9-3 and 2-0. The Lobos advance to play New Caney in a best-of-three series:
· Game 1 – 6:30 p.m. on April 30 at New Caney High School (21650 TX-494 Loop)
· Game 2 – 6:30 p.m. on May 1 at Langham Creek High School (17610 FM 529)
· Game 3, if necessary – 11 a.m. on May 3 at Klein Collins High School (20811 Ella Blvd.)
Tickets for Cy-Fair and Langham Creek will be $5 apiece (adults and students) and will be sold online.
Cypress Ranch High School ended its season with a 3-1 loss to Klein. The Mustangs were District 16-6A’s second seed and bi-district finalists.
Bridgeland High School ended its season with a best-of-three series loss to Klein Oak by the scores of 6-5 and 5-2. The Bears were District 16-6A’s third seed and bi-district finalists.
Cypress Creek High School ended its season with a best-of-three series loss to Houston Bellaire by the scores of 3-1, 7-14 and 6-9. The Cougars were District 17-6A’s fourth seed and bi-district finalists.
