This Mother’s Day, one deserving Cypress mom is receiving more than flowers or a card — she is receiving a life-changing smile makeover thanks to Space City Orthodontics and a heartfelt nomination from her child that touched the hearts of the entire team.
Earlier this year, Space City Orthodontics invited the community to nominate an extraordinary mother to receive free braces or Invisalign treatment as part of their Mother’s Day Smile Makeover Giveaway. The initiative was created not just to transform smiles, but to recognize the quiet sacrifices, unconditional love, and everyday strength that moms show for their families.
Families across Houston submitted stories about mothers who consistently put others before themselves, and one local Cypress mom stood out among the nominations.
The selected winner is an incredible mother of four who teaches special education students while also balancing the daily responsibilities of caring for her family — often managing everything on her own while her husband travels for work.
Her child’s nomination deeply resonated with the Space City Orthodontics team:
“My mom is amazing because of how hard she works and how much she does for our family. She teaches special ed students and handles a lot of stress, yet still comes home and takes care of all four of us while my dad is often out of town. She makes sure we’re fed, safe, and always gets us to school and our appointments. Even when she’s busy or overwhelmed, she puts us first and does everything she can to make us happy before thinking about herself. That’s why I truly believe she deserves this. I love my mom so much.”
