CFISD soccer players earn 2025 All-District 17-6A honors
CFISD boys’ and girls’ soccer coaches released the All-District 17-6A teams following the conclusion of each team’s season.
On the girls’ side, Jersey Village High School senior Alondra Vasquez was named Goalkeeper of the Year. Cypress Ridge High School junior Meydelin Leija was named Defensive Player of the Year while fellow Cypress Ridge teammate freshman Kimberley Diaz was named Newcomer of the Year.
On the boys’ side, Cypress Falls High School junior Owen Fuentes was named Co-Newcomer of the Year alongside Stratford High School junior Fardin Ansari. Cypress Ridge senior Jose Sanchez was named Midfielder of the Year while fellow Cypress Ridge teammate and senior Angel Molina was named Defensive Player of the Year. Cypress Ridge sophomore Edward Guardiola was named Goalkeeper of the Year.
