The 32nd Annual CFISD Livestock Show Association (LSA) Show and Sale was dedicated to past show champions for their unwavering dedication, perseverance and achievements which has left a lasting legacy of excellence within the CFISD agriculture and livestock programs.

In addition, this year’s show and sale marked the introduction of the Debbie Blackshear FFA Member of the Year Award. The honor will recognize an outstanding CFISD FFA student who demonstrates exceptional leadership, dedication and character within the CFISD FFA community. Blackshear served as a member of the CFISD Board of Trustees from 2015-2023 and was an ardent supporter of CFISD, especially the FFA programs. Her involvement with the CFISD Livestock Show began when her sons were active members of the Cy-Fair High School FFA program and her commitment to the Livestock Show continued by serving on committees, participating in the live auction and inspiring others to join in supporting the program. The inaugural award recipient will be recognized at the May Regular Board Meeting.

“I am incredibly proud of the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD agriculture students who compete in this annual event,” said Mark Williams, director of career and technical education. “Their success is a testament to their dedication, commitment and the passion of their agriculture science instructors. Our students, instructors and agriculture program exemplify the incredible opportunities we provide in CFISD.”
