The Seventh Annual A Taste of Cy-Fair Event
The Taste of Cy-Fair board is thrilled to announce this year’s A Taste of Cy-Fair, happening on May 2, 2026, at the Bridgeland Lakeland Village Center in Cypress, Texas. In an exciting update, the beloved event is moving from its traditional fall timing to the spring season—bringing a fresh new energy and the promise of beautiful weather to this highly anticipated community celebration. After last year’s cancellation due to inclement weather, the board and its dedicated volunteers are more motivated than ever to deliver an even more memorable, elevated experience for the community.

Attendees will enjoy mouthwatering samples of dishes and treats from favorites like Alicia’s Mexican Grille, Connie’s Ice Cream, Dario’s Steakhouse and Seafood, Tiff’s Treats, Creekwood Grill, Galiana’s Tex Mex and Agave Bar, La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, Alchemy Bake Lab, For Heaven’s Cake, 2 Guys 1 Pit BBQ & Catering, Brooklyn Pizzeria, Marvino’s Italian Steakhouse, The Backyard Grill, Las Mananitas Mexican Restaurant, and more.
In addition to the incredible food, guests can also sip on a wide variety of wines and sample dozens of craft beers. The event will also feature live music, a market, and a silent auction, making for a truly full evening of fun.
In 2017, A Taste of Cy-Fair was launched to support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and it has since grown and evolved. What began as a response to hardship has transformed into a signature annual tradition that continues to unite the Cy-Fair community through food, philanthropy, and shared experiences. “Now in our seventh year, it’s inspiring to see how A Taste of Cy-Fair has become more than just a food and wine festival. It’s truly a celebration of community spirit,” said Robin Beattie, owner of Squeaky Wheel Restaurant Marketing and one of the founding board members. “The generosity of our partners and attendees continues to push us forward, allowing us to raise more for Cy-Hope each year.”

Since its launch in 2017, A Taste of Cy-Fair has grown into a tremendous success, raising approximately $20,000 in its first year, $40,000 in 2018, more than $50,000 in 2019, over $50,000 again in 2022, a record-breaking $75,880 in 2023, and $66,000 in 2024—all in support of Cy-Hope, with only 2020 and 2021 disrupted by the pandemic. Mark McShaffry, owner of Backyard Grill and Creekwood Grill and a founding board member, reflected on the event’s journey: “Last year’s cancellation was heartbreaking for everyone involved, but it also reignited our drive to come back stronger,” he said. “When we began in 2017, we simply hoped to bring people together after hardship. Today, it’s grown into one of Cy-Fair’s signature events, filled with energy, generosity, and purpose. Every year, I’m amazed at the way local businesses, restaurants, and residents rally together to make it unforgettable.” Looking ahead to 2026, McShaffry highlighted the crucial support from sponsors like Baker Wealth Strategies, Bridgeland, Stellar Bank, State Farm David Canale, Memorial Hermann Cypress, High Tech Machine, US Foods, First Community Cares Foundation and countless others. “Their support makes all the difference,” he added. “We’re determined to make this year’s event better than ever.”
The Cy-Hope mission is to make life better for all kids in Cy-Fair and the surrounding communities. They have nine programs to support their mission and consistently make a difference in the community. “A Taste of Cy-Fair is proof of what can happen when a community comes together,” said Diana Peterson of Cy-Hope. “Every ticket purchased, every bite enjoyed, and every donation made goes directly toward changing the lives of children. We’re so grateful for the continued support and can’t wait to welcome everyone on May 2nd to celebrate food, friends, and giving back.”

The seventh annual A Taste of Cy-Fair will once again be organized and executed by dedicated volunteers. “This year carries a renewed sense of purpose,” said Kristen Grider, Catering Manager of Grupo Herrera Restaurants and founding board member. “We’ve taken the lessons and disappointment from last year and turned them into inspiration—making sure 2026 feels fresh, dynamic, and truly worth the wait.”
