CFISD names new principal for Arnold Middle School

Jillian Williams, associate principal at Jersey Village High School, was named the principal at Arnold Middle School on April 2. Williams replaces Amby Clinkscale, who will retire in June.

Williams has 22 years of experience in education. She began her career at Marshall Middle School in Houston ISD in 2004, teaching reading before moving to Dean Middle School in 2007 to also teach reading. She became an ELAR/Reading campus content instructional specialist (CCIS) at Dean in 2010. She then was named the behavior interventionist at Dean in 2015 before transitioning to a classroom management consultant teacher for the district in 2018. Williams was named an assistant principal at Jersey Village in 2019 before being named to her current role in 2024.

Williams holds multiple certifications, including her EC-12 Principal Certification. She has also served as a DECATS Summer Program assistant program director and as a presenter for both the CFISD Teacher Leadership Institute and CFISD New Administrator Institute.

Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Prairie View A&M University and her Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University. 

“I’m looking forward to joining Arnold Middle School, a campus with deep roots, strong traditions and a fiercely committed staff,” Williams said. “I am eager to begin building relationships and serving our community as we work together to build a culture of recognition. My goal is to celebrate excellence in all forms – academic, behavioral and professional – as we continue the school’s legacy of success.”
