Attend the upcoming Jan. 7 ALL Open House from noon – 2 p.m. to explore the free and low-cost programming designed for senior adults ages 50 and better at LSC-CyFair where members say “You’re never too old to stop learning”, “It’s a fantastic opportunity to broaden your outlook on many things”, and “After retirement, it’s one of the best ways to keep busy and meet people ‘our’ age.”

Fun, informative classes cover a myriad of topics and interests such as technology, health and wellness, financial planning, community service, literary discussions, genealogy, arts and crafts, history, and more.

Programming is member driven, so along with some classic favorites, a new offering added this spring is a highly requested computer class series for beginner and intermediate learners, said Amy Duval, ALL program coordinator.

“Of course, Annemarie Reyes will be back to teach her well-loved cooking classes, guiding students through a variety of new recipes throughout the semester,” said Duval. “And Professor Natalie Stovall is also returning with additional art courses, this time focusing on teaching students how to draw using pastels.”

Last but not least, said Duval, one of LSC-CyFair’s popular favorites that fill up quickly are bus trips in and around Houston. Three tables will be set up at the Open House for members to sign up for preferred trips.
